When choosing a therapist the most important thing is to find someone who’s a good match. Someone who “gets it” when you talk to them. I’d love to be that person for you!
I enjoy helping adults of any age, and adolescents age 12-17 who are having difficulty with anxiety, depression or issues related to trauma. I especially enjoy working with young adults. While that is an exciting time in life, it can also be stressful, as well as a time of major changes. Assisting young adults navigate through those changes can help them make good choices that set them up for a happy adult life!
My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from Wayne State University. I am a member of the Psi Chi Honors Society. At Wayne my studies included extensive research coursework. This knowledge allows me to determine the effectiveness of a treatment, as an Evidence Based Practice.
Also through Wayne State I received a Masters degree in Social Work, with specialization in Family Systems and School Social Work. Since graduating I’ve had training in trauma and attachment. I am a fully licensed, Clinical Social Worker in Michigan.
